Several servers
In preview
One panel for several servers: give each a role, put sites behind a load balancer, move an account with its mail, and keep a database replica ready.
Built and lab-tested
- Server roles and placement, HAProxy pools with health checks, floating addresses and drain. In the lab a floating address left a dead load balancer in about 1.5 seconds.
- Account moves from one server to another, end to end and resumable. Mail moves with the account: 1,615 messages sent through two moves, 1,615 delivered.
- Database replication for MariaDB and PostgreSQL: a planned switch under load took about 5 seconds with nothing lost, and an emergency promote fences the old primary first.
- Secondary name servers with a transfer key per pair.
- Mixed clusters work: Ubuntu and AlmaLinux servers together, and a third server.
- Add a server from the Cluster page. A default install listens for other servers only on itself, so one button prepares the panel (a plan, the firewall step and a confirmation first) and then gives you one command to run on the new server.
Not there yet
- Replication is asynchronous, with one replica per engine and no automatic failover.
- Files of pooled sites are not replicated automatically yet.
Every action in this area is in the panel, one keystroke away in the command palette (Ctrl K), on the command line and in the API, and most changes can be previewed as a plan first. Built and tested in our lab; RespireCloud is not released yet.
