Reseller guide

Resellers run their own hosting business on an administrator's servers. Everything you do stays inside your own part of the tree.

What you can see

You see and manage the customers you created and their sub-users, and nothing else: not the administrator's other customers, not other resellers. The same rule applies to search, exports, logs, metrics and the API, because each module scopes its queries to the person asking.

Your customers

  • Create a hosting account for a customer: a sign-in for them and a Linux user on the server.
  • Suspend an account to stop it at once: its sessions and API tokens end in the same step. Unsuspend to bring it back.
  • Add domains, sites, mailboxes, databases and the rest on a customer's behalf, within their plan.
  • Where your role allows it, act as a customer to see what they see, with a reason, a visible banner and a time limit. Everything you do is recorded under both names.

Plans and limits

Each account has a plan, and every module checks the plan's limits as it creates things. A customer who reaches a limit gets a clear error that names it. Your own role and limits are set by the administrator.

Signing in

Resellers, like administrators, must use two-step sign-in: a passkey, or a password plus an authenticator code. See the tour for the screens.
