RespireCloud is made by RespireSoft, a software company that engineers modern systems for ambitious businesses, including hosting and cloud operations work for its clients.
Why we are building RespireCloud
We run servers for our own products and for clients. The control panels we could buy were getting more expensive every year, were built on old code, and kept making the news for the wrong reasons. The modern ones were either app platforms rather than hosting panels, or did not let us run them on our own servers.
So we started again from the parts that matter most when something goes wrong: a web interface that cannot run commands, changes you can preview and undo, sign-in that cannot be phished, and a record of everything.
How it is built
- A small Go core and an agent on each server, talking over an encrypted bus with a key per server.
- Every capability is a module with a manifest, running in its own process.
- A single React app for the panel, built on our own glass design system, for desktop and phone.
- Each module is tested on real Linux in a Docker lab before it is merged.
The name
Respire means to breathe. The panel's backdrop drifts and breathes on one slow cadence, and so do its live status lights: a calm pulse while everything is healthy, and stillness when something has stopped.
